Cheap Car Audio Setups

Today, most car owners put a lot of effort towards making sure they have the ideal audio system installed. Some go as far as getting high-end amplifiers, subwoofers and crossovers. But the thing is, do you need all of them to enjoy music of your choice?

There are some car audio systems that can be ideal paired with simple speakers today. A lot of people mostly invest in high-end car audio equipment mainly due to hype and fashion. But if you simply want to have sounds in your car, a simple car radio unit and speakers will be more than enough.

A few years ago, the audio equipment in a new car consisted of a radio/CD and a four-speaker system. It came as part of the package and really didn’t have a high profile. All this has now changed. A recent survey showed that audio equipment has suddenly become a top-five in-car item. Amazingly, these days its all factory fitted and not shoehorned in by the local car-audio installer.

Car audio fans had cause for celebration the day CD players moved from the home into the dashboard. Until that day, drivers were stuck with a choice between the radio, a cassette player, or (heaven forbid) eight-track cassettes. Needless to say, the sound quality of those three options was pretty abysmal. CD brought digital quality out onto the open road.
